This is what The Davis Group’s - Leigh Smart & Kevin Hancock thought when they tried to buy motor sport insurance for their own motor racing team Jemco Racing.

When insurance brokers Leigh Smart and Kevin Hancock set up a motor racing team back in 2005, one of the first things they looked for was insurance. They wanted a policy that could cover everything – the transit, track, tools, and the team, but amazingly they couldn’t find an insurance broker that could provide this, so they decided to set up a unique policy of their own.

The Davis Group launched this well awaited new product MotorSportRiSK at the hugely popular Autosport International Show (11 – 14th January 07) held at the NEC in Birmingham. The sleek Marcos Mantis that Smart and Hancock drive was featured on the stand and drew plenty of interest from traders and car enthusiasts alike.

Leigh Smart and Kevin Hancock, formed their team at the start of the 2005 season. The team is based in Newmarket and runs a Marcos Mantis GT Cup car in the UK based European Endurance Racing Club (EERC) Britcar series, and a Honda Integra Type R in the sister Production S1 series.
