
East Anglian commercial insurance specialists The Davis Group, picked up a national award for their insuremotorsport.com initiative at the influential British Insurance Awards, held at the Royal Albert Hall.
This recognition is for their integrated marketing campaign - “Insuremotorsport.com” which was launched in early 2007, promoting their ground-breaking motorsport insurance product.
Leigh Smart and Kevin Hancock, CEO and MD at The Davis Group, formed a racing team, Jemco Racing in 2004 and naturally, one of the first things they looked for was insurance. “It quickly became evident that there was space for a new proposition in the insurance market. We have independently developed a successful, and profitable, motorsport insurance product, which satisfies the needs of the competitor and racing teams. We are delighted that this has now been recognised by the insurance industry as being worthy of national recognition.”
Since the launch 18 months ago, this unique policy has gone from strength to strength. The insuremotorsport.com marketing campaign has been instrumental in helping The Davis Group break into this niche market, and mixing business with pleasure has certainly paid off in this instance.
